If you are in the middle of building a truck, and don't have mount holes in the body, this is no problem, but if you are re-using an existing body, you will need new body post holes to make this work. It also requires a frame mounted servo, available also at GCM, and removal of the axle mounted servo bracket. Take the right side one, keeping the FWD leg to the front, and mount it on the left side.

That's it. Take off the stock plate, mount up the new plate, done. Step 4: Slide the new mount, with trans and motor etc installed, right into the position as shown below, and insert the 4 new mount screws provided through the top tower at the FWD shock position and the lower front shock tower screw hole. Optional parts required for 6 and 7 below: Step 6: Install your favorite GCM Transfer case in place of the stock center trans.

It will directly fit to the 2 outside mount holes in the skidplate. Step 7: re-install your center FWD and Rear driveshafts on the T-Case, and then add one more same length shaft to the T-Case up to the trans at the front. A longer linkage will be required. I have to make up the new servo rod for the shifter, but that's about it. You can see there's tons of room around this setup. It's shorter than the shock towers, has full suspension compression with the stock parts, and no binding. There's also tons of room between the servo and the spur just in case.

There's a nice clean line to the Transfer Case in the center also, the side from the trans, and the centered shaft for the axles. Last edited by generis; at PM. I wanted to use the stock radio box some how, so it ended up beside the transfer case. This is how I did it: The one side of the Transfer case is bolted to the center skid plate, as per instructions.

The second side of the transfer case is doing nothing, so I added 2 more screws and stuck them through the radio box floor, and added 2 nuts under the tcase. It turns out its going to be a great little ESC box, as you can see, and with the sealed top and open drains down below, it should keep the air in and the water and junk out!.

These esc's don't make enough heat to warrant having it out in the air, and for now it's a great place to shove the esc. I stuck in the drive shafts again also. Used the stocker Dingo Kit shafts, and added one from the spare parts bin. The trans-to-tcase shaft was trimmed off a bit to fit in the space, but it's working perfectly, and sits at nice angles. In fact, I'm actually happy with all the angles, even for the short wheelbase Dingo parts, the shaft angles are acceptable with the tiny and low transfer case.

I like this thing for a few reasons. This SCX Mount kit makes stuff sit in the proper places, and still leaves tons of room for the important stuff, like proper looking truck bodies. Even that giant Wraith-designed 2 speed fits up front still lower than the shock towers, and there's no suspension problems at all.

I like stuff that fits. And I wanted the 2 speed option. It's the perfect combination of parts to bring your 'original' SCX10 build to the next level, allowing proper scale positioning for your steering servo, your motor and transmission up front, and our bulletproof Transfer Case in the center. Mount up your Axial SCX10 3gear stock transmission on the nose of the SCX10 frame, and make tons of room in the center for an interior, for your custom build.

It's as easy as removing the stock servo, and axle mounting plate. Remove the front bumper mount also. Then slide in the new GCM bumper and servo mount, bolt on the servo again, and re-attach the servo linkage.

The 'intermediate shaft' length from the trans to the T-Case is a maximum of mm total length. Comes with all hex hardware for the servo mount, motor mount, and transfer case. Requires user to install a 3rd center drive shaft, not included.

This set includes a solid machined steel center section, solid machined steel axle tubes, aluminum bearing holders on the rear, and machined aluminum diff covers and pinion carriers. Currently 2 versions of the housings are available currently at gcmracing. Customizer front or rear. Requires your own mounts, etc, these are bare housings as shown in the assembly video below.

Mounts in place of a stock SCX axle housing with the same lower tabs for links and shocks, but requires new top links for the 4 link mount holes on the top of the housing. Not shown in the assembly video. Soon to be released from gcmracing. MetalHead axle housings for Axial Wraith truck. These will replace the stock housing and use the same internals as the stock Wraith.

It's so cool that you can take off the rear cover and the diff falls out. So easy to change ratio or anything! Here's some tube shots with stocker knuckles, stocker internals, stocker dogbone setup. And of course, if you are into hardcore bashing your rig, then here's the stuff with Super axles, and their bombproof locker with underdrive gear set.

All you have to do is swap in the crawler rig parts, setup your links to the body wheelbase, add scale shocks, and a scaler truck appears from the bench. These kits are designed specifically to use what you already have to assemble a great new scaler platform. This Combo kit is worldwide popular for putting together the NewBright JK bodies, and with a trim of the rear shock tower as shown, it's a perfect fit.

And there's always lots of room for your interior with the motor and trans up front. The AXIAL front motor plate can be mounted in the motor-forward or motor-centered by simply installing the motor plate reversed.

It's that easy! The geometry of the plate and the mounting holes in the CrossCanyon chassis allow for perfect shaft alignment with the Transfer Case input. This level of setup adjustment lets you fit your components in enough positions to allow just about any body and interior fitment, or adjust for weight balance and transfer. Even the skidplate has mounting options to get the T-Case input on the correct side to match your setup.

Shown below, the Servo mount plate can be used right or left bias, and can accept the servo on top for droop or high knuckle builds, or mount the servo below for short horn or sprung setups.

In any case, the servo can be used to match the way you build so you can use your favorite setups on this simple platform. All metal parts are black anodize and the center skidplate is black Delrin plastic. Extended Information.

My goal with that build was to not modify the chassis if I didn't have to - which sorta worked. Except for the transmission came thru the bed.

The shock towers I don't mind as much, but the transmission bugged me. I recently sold all my scale trucks, including Bob, to a collector who offered me a very fair price for them. This was the perfect opportunity for me to build the trucks that I wanted. However, original Bob worked VERY well: it was balanced, wasn't top heavy, and went anywhere I put it, within the realm of logic of course.

So I want to build another one. This will be a different color, and I'll change a couple other things, but I knew I had to do something differently this time around where the body wouldn't have to be hacked up to fit around the chassis.

Enter the GCM combo kit. The transmission does come with some grease in it, but I added some marine grease including on the joints between the transmission sections, as recommended in the video, to help with waterproofing. I don't do water, but this is cheap insurance. I disassembled all the sections and applied this to method to each.

In the GCM SCX10 transmission installation videothe SCX10 kit is assembled with a "left drop" transfer case which I had assumed was required on this with the location of the mounting bracket holes.

Ezpay primerica usa

However, since this combo can have the transfer case installed as either a left or a right drop, depending on the axle used and your scale preference, I thought I'd try a right drop Chevy anyways which actually worked. Greased up and ready to rock The mount simply attaches to the RTR skid plate included in the kit, remember And there are brackets included that attach to the motor plate, which simple rest in the chassis rails.
